It annoys me when people act like music is like fucking Fight Club or something. Why wouldn’t you want to talk about it with people who aren’t familiar with a certain song or band or album? Music doesn’t have a “members only” system. You’re not automatically born with a good taste in music. You get exposed to it through a lot of different elements. So instead of excluding people, why not at least try to expose them to some of the bands you like instead of hoarding them to yourself, only to complain no one likes the same music as you. Who knows? They might actually like it.
